Cattle & Cane

Cattle & Cane were absolutely spellbinding last night. One of the best sets I’ve seen and heard in a long time. Playing totally unplugged and fully acoustic really let the quality of their songs shine through – especially Joe, Helen & Fran’s harmonies. Brilliant stuff.

They’re working on their debut album and I for one can’t wait to hear it! Some of the new stuff had hints of bands like The Beatles, Fleetwood Mac and Crosby, Stills & Nash in there – as well as their obvious folk influences – classic songwriting!

If you missed the sold out tea house gig, here’s a full video of the gig from that there Youtube:

Evelyn Burke

The first gig I’ve promoted this year was a sell out. Nice way to start the year! Admittedly a sell out in this instance is only 35 people, but still! The headline act was the wonderful Evelyn Burke, here’s a video of her playing her brilliant song Walk Alone at the gig:

The next Tea Shop gig will feature the incredible Lake Poets from Sunderland. Can’t wait. More info on that soon…
