RIVALS

Rivals
Rivals

A gloriously heavy, life-affirming three-piece from the North-East of England. Featuring members of The Futureheads and The Mercury League, the band formed out of a shared love of 80s hardcore. New single “I’m Not An Animal” out now on Tiny Lights Recordings.

Temples

Apologies for the lack of updates recently – I’ve been on too many holidays. I’m back in the real world now though, so keep checkin’ back!

After their unreal sell out gig at The Westgarth back in April, I’m absolutely buzzing to be bringing Temples back to Teesside! They’re headlining The Georgian Theatre in Stockton-on-Tees on Monday 19th August with support from the cream of the local crop Goy Boy McIlroy and Alistair Sheerin. Tickets are £8 in advance and are already selling well – early purchase strongly advised:

The 1975

I had the pleasure of putting The 1975 on at Mixtape last night. I’ve booked a fair few buzz bands over the past few years and it’s fairly rare that they actually live up to the hype – The 1975 managed to though!

Huge, anthemic, festival-ready tracks with a strong 80s vibe (almost Prince-esque in places!?) – every song sounded like a single. I’ll be pretty surprised if they don’t go on to do some pretty big things… good luck to ’em!
